Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Me and my family come here every so often, we always order the pupusas and plate of platano frito. Their food here is very good customer service is also very friendly. They didn't have ac before and it would be very hot inside and since this food is made to order it will take a while. So waiting in a hot place was frustrating at times. Recently I believe they upgraded their air conditioning system and its always cool inside :)"
"Best pupusas I’ve ever had, from a young age it’s always been consistent with flavor"
"The food its delicious, the pupusas too, and their special at $1.25 its great, they're owner is very polite and you feel there as if you we're part of their family. Very modest place, but you will come back more routinely than you might think. After you taste their food and the way they treat you there."
"I usually order take out by phone I love the Calabasas pupusas, my daughter enjoys the bean and cheese, and my husband likes the pupusas from this place he said they are made the right way he's salvadorian so he knows what he's talking about. Good food and good price."
"Of course! Here's your humanized and slightly reworded positive review, keeping the same meaning but changing the specified words: --- The dishes are really tasty, and the pupusas are great too. Their $1.25 deal is a real bargain. The owner is super friendly, and the atmosphere makes you feel like part of the family. It’s a humble spot, but you’ll find yourself coming back more often than you’d expect—especially after experiencing both the flavors and the warm welcome they give you. --- Would you like me to translate this into Spanish or another language?"
"Whenever it's family time for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, pupusas are always the go-to. What can I say—we’re total pupusa fans, especially from this place! I've tried a few other dishes too, and I can confidently say that the Huevos Rancheros, Platanitos fritos with crema and beans are pure satisfaction—seriously, mouthwatering ! The service is top-notch, though sometimes when you call, it sounds like a fax machine (don't worry, just keep calling—they’re probably on the line with someone else!)."

"**5 stars – Amazing pupusas and wonderful service!** I stopped by Restaurante y Pupuseria La Libertad on a whim and I'm so glad I did! The people here are incredibly nice and polite – everyone made me feel right at home. Shoutout to Rosa – she was amazing! She recommended and made me a delicious pupusa with spinach and cheese, and it was absolutely perfect. Everything tasted so fresh, the masa was spot-on, and the flavors were just bursting. Hands down one of the best pupusas I've had in LA. If you're in the area (Florence neighborhood), do yourself a favor and come here. Highly recommend – you won't be disappointed! Will definitely be back soon."
